Mike Leigh and Marianne Jean-Baptiste reunite for the director’s first modern picture in many years, Hard Truths. The two previously worked together on Secrets & Lies and Career Girls back in the ’90s. Their latest film, Hard Truths, will debut tomorrow at the Toronto International Film Festival.
Here’s the Hard Truths trailer:
Any Mike Leigh film is considered an event film at Immersive Media. Our co-founder and publisher, Eric Green, is a man who’ll talk about Naked, in particular, for hours if you let him. Throughout Leigh’s career, he’s crafted too many hypnotic and unforgettable dramas to list, including Happy-Go-Lucky and Mr. Turner.
Hard Truths opens nationwide on January 6th, 2025, although it’ll have an awards-qualifying limited release in 2024.
