The Fall is a masterpiece. Filmmaker Tarsem spent his savings on his dream vision, which he filmed over four years in 24 different countries. Yes, the movie is a visual marvel unlike any other, a mammoth testament to the human imagination, but it also packs an emotional wallop behind those beautiful, beautiful images. Sadly, for too long the movie was unavailable on home video or streaming.

Now, Mubi and Tarsem has fixed that problem. It’s not only available to stream on 4K, but available in select theaters on October 15th. It’s a must-see event.

Many times I’ve been lucky enough to speak with Tarsem about The Fall, which he’s stated audiences either think “it’s the best thing since sliced bread or a piece of shit.” Well, it’s the best thing since slice bread and, thankfully, more and more people continue to recognize that fact about his staggering achievement.
