Wednesday season two

Wednesday season one at its best had Tim Burton behind the camera. Thankfully, he’s not only returning to produce the hit Netflix series, but he’s directing half of Wednesday season two. The filmmaker is coming off the massive creative and financial success of Beetlejuice Beetlejuice.

In an interview Collider, the show’s co-creators Al Gough and Miles Millar confirmed the news. They’re currently halfway through finishing season two of the hit Netflix program, which moved production from Romania to Ireland. The next season of the Jenna Ortega-led series reportedly leans more on horror, less on YA romance and shenanigans.

Season one wasn’t only a commercial smash but a hit with Emmy voters as well, racking up 12 nominations and four wins. The costumes, the production design, and the score, the visual splendor is all there. It’s a good show that can only get better, especially with Burton in the director’s chair.
