John Woo made his return to American action movies last year with Silent Night. Now, the iconic action director is returning to one of his earliest classics, The Killer. He’s remade his seminal film for Peacock, which debuts on August 23rd.

It’s a high-profile original film for Peacock. Its star, Nathalie Emmanuel, is a consistently charismatic lead that should bring some personality to Woo’s remake. A knockout crime writer, Brian Helgeland (Payback), co-wrote the script, which adds more promise. A John Woo film is a John Woo film, so of course, our eyes will be watching.
