Ted is the most-watched original Peacock series. Based on the film series, Seth MacFarlane‘s prequel chronicling the young lives of John Bennett (Max Burkholder) and his teddy bear was a vulgar delight. Although originally billed as a limited series, Peacock has ordered another round of their Emmy-contender.

MacFalane directed all seven episodes of the series and didn’t soften his comedic edges, but he did nail the sweet to balance out the sour just right. Ted is comedy that steps over the line with some panache. Unsurprising since MacFarlane is at the top of his game as a storyteller. Look no further than his work on The Orville.

Peacock didn’t spare any expense on Ted. They bet big, and they bet right, on the Universal-owned bear. The production value was as big as the laughs in the entertaining comedy. A season two of Ted is welcomed news.
