American Cinema Editors (ACE) is honoring filmmaker Jon M. Chu (Wicked) with the ACE Golden Eddie Filmmaker of the Year Award. It’s more than well-deserved, but fitting for a filmmaker whose musicals tend to highlight the beauty of graceful editing. In addition to Chu, ACE will also award career achievement honors to editors Maysie Hoy, ACE and Paul Hirsch, ACE. Both are legends in leagues of their own. The honors will be presented at the 75th annual ACE Eddie Awards on January 18th , 2025 at UCLA’s Royce Hall.
