Schmigadoon! is a delight. The hilarious musical was sadly cancelled after only two seasons, but the Apple TV+ show will now live on elsewhere. To the delight of theater kids everywhere, the Apple TV+ series is coming to the stage.

On January 31st, 2025, the Schmigadoon! stage musical will debut at the Kennedy Center’s Eisenhower Theater in Washington D.C. The show will follow season one’s storyline, in which Josh (Keegan-Michael Key) and Melissa (Cecily Strong) leave their world behind and get trapped in a town called Schmigadoon where everyone sings and lives as if they’re in a Golden Age musical. Wonderful hijinks ensue.

No casting was announced for the musical, which hails from the series’ co-creator and songwriter, Cinco Paul. He wrote the book, music, and lyrics for the stage musical. Fans can expect old songs from the show in the Christopher Gattelli-directed adaption.

‘Schmigadoon!’ is available to stream on Apple TV+.
